Malang – On Thursday, September 18, 2025, students of the International Class Program (ICP) in the Islamic Education Management (MPI) Department carried out an observation activity for the Educational Office Administration course, taught by Dr. Sutrisno, M.Pd. The activity was conducted at the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) in Malang City.

The delegation was cordially received in the mini hall by the Head of the Malang City Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, Mr. Achmad Shampton, S.HI., M.Ag., along with his staff. In his remarks, Mr. Shampton underscored the significance of critical thinking for students, particularly as the future generation of leaders.

“Generation Z has been observed to frequently exhibit a deficiency in curiosity. For instance, some interns reported an absence of assigned tasks, despite the expectation of increased initiative and proactivity. Such an attitude will provide significant added value for their personal growth,” he emphasized.

In addition to his motivational message, he introduced the LENTERA application, a performance reporting system for Civil Servants (ASN) based on the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP(Sistem Akuntabilitas Kinerja Instansi Pemerintah)), which was developed by the Malang City Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Subsequent to the introductory session and presentation, the students were invited to embark on a tour of several offices within the building. The strategic office layout was designed to facilitate effective coordination and efficient task execution among staff members.

This observation activity provided students with valuable insights, offering them practical knowledge and firsthand experience in understanding office administration and the management of government institutions.
